from the 1976 Tolkien Calendar

Greg dug into his archives to find the few remaining Tolkien sketches that he owned in 2000 when Spiderwebart began to design the Tolkien art of The Brothers Hildebrandt art book, published by Watson-Guptill. This sketch may have some tears in it, but that in no way takes away from its beauty. The computer image does not do this drawing justice.

Pencil on Tissue Paper
Right side has a stain on it and the left edge is ragged. The bottom left and right corners are torn but do not effect the art and can be cropped with matting. There is a very slight crease down the center of the sheet where it was once folded.

This sketch was signed by Greg & Tim Hildebrandt prior to Tim's death in 2006.
