Description: This beautiful painting titled 'Tribute to Gypsy' is #7 in Greg Hildebrandt’s exclusive American Beauties Series. Not all of you will be old enough to remember Gypsy Rose Lee. She was one of, if not the greatest, burlesque queen that ever lived. No one ever saw Gypsy naked, but thousands thought they did. She was a master of illusion. This is Greg's tribute to her life. Giclée reproductions are created by tiny jets spraying millions of droplets of oil-based printing ink onto a sheet of fine art paper. This spray of ink, more that 4 million droplets per second, whirls onto paper spinning on a drum at 250 inches per second. Hence the name giclée, French for "fine spray."
