Description:
The next to last character sketch before the final transfer sketch of the Ring of Galadriel painting. The ring of Galadriel was done for the 1976 Tolkien calendar.
Greg dug into his archives to find the few remaining Tolkien sketches that he owned in 2000 when Spiderwebart began to design the Tolkien art of The Brothers Hildebrandt art book, published by Watson-Guptill. This sketch may have some tears in it, but that in no way takes away from its beauty. The computer image does not do this drawing justice.
This sketch was signed by Greg and Tim prior to Tim’s death.
