Description: The final drawing of the BALROG!!!!! This pencil on tissue paper sketch may not be in its entirity but there is enough of the action there to keep me satisfied, Besides it is the Balrog what more can you ask for? This sketch is a piece of one of the Original Drawings for The Balrog from Greg and Tim’s Tolkien Calendar. Greg dug into his archives to find the few remaining Tolkien sketches that he owned in 2000 when Spiderwebart began to design the Tolkien art of The Brothers Hildebrandt art book, published by Watson-Guptill. This sketch may have some tears in it, but that in no way takes away from its beauty. The computer image does not do this drawing justice. This sketch was signed by Greg & Tim Hildebrandt prior to Tim's death in 2006. |
