Description: Pencil on tissue paper. This is the final drawing for The Road to Minas Tirith. This drawing appears exactly as the painting for the month of July in the 1976 calendar. Greg dug into his archives to find the few remaining Tolkien sketches that he owned in 2000 when Spiderwebart began to design the Tolkien art of The Brothers Hildebrandt art book, published by Watson-Guptill. This sketch may have some tears in it, but that in no way takes away from its beauty. The computer image does not do this drawing justice. Was Signed by Greg Hildebrandt and Tim Hildebrandt prior to Tim's death in 2006. . |
