Description: Original sketch done back in the late seventies for the Tolkien Calendars. Character study of Aragorn and Frodo walking. Done by Greg Hildebrandt and Tim Hildebrandt. Greg dug into his archives to find the few remaining Tolkien sketches that he owned in 2000 when Spiderwebart began to design the Tolkien art of The Brothers Hildebrandt art book, published by Watson-Guptill. This sketch of Aragorn and Frodo is on vellum and is in good shape. The edges are ragged which adds character to the art. The computer image does not do this drawing justice. This is the first design that Greg and Tim did for Aragorn. He is one of the most loved of the characters from J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings epic. This is a rare piece for a collection. Framed size 29" x 31". It is signed by both Greg and Tim Hildebrandt |
