In 1998, he started collaborating with Panini, the European division of Marvel Comics, doing covers, posters and lithographs for product distributed in Italy, France and Germany. • In 2002, Dell’Otto was asked to illustrate the five-issue mini-series Secret War and subsequently, the Secret War and subsequently, the Secret War Annihilation and Secret Invasion series. • This piece was created for a Marvel Secret Invasion portfolio, published in France by Panini in 2009. The story of Secret Invasion involves a subversive invasion of Earth by the alien Skrulls. Dell’Otto’s striking art features Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, Thor and Daredevil in combat with the Skrulls. • This artwork was created in a limited edition as a gicleé print in February of 2010. It was printed with archival inks on premium canvas and paper. • Each piece of the edition has been numbered and is signed by Gabrielle Dell’Otto. |
