Noonan’s Barber Supply of Boston had a grand slogan… Well Groomed Men Have Their Haircut Every Week. The barbers of the world wished everyone had the same idea! This originally was a scarce door sized cardboard advertising sign used at the barber supply house to show off Frank M. Noonan’s 1920’s line of hair tonics. Noonan’s tonics like Morning After Rub, Silkum & Zepps, & Hair Petrole were the rage of Well Groomed men. Who wouldn’t like a little Morning After Rub, hold still now ya hear??!! This die cut sign is a spitting image of the original at a fraction of the collectors cost!
Each tin sign is designed and made in the United States using 24 gauge American steel and a process known as sublimation, where the image is baked into a powder coating for a durable and long lasting finish. A vintaging process is then performed by hand to give these signs an aged look and feel. Each sign is drilled and riveted for easy hanging. All you need is 2 nails and a hammer!
Based on actual barber shop and shoeshine imagery.
