Lithograph proofs are the most beautiful forms of printing art, even today the colors are stunning. The large original & unique printers proof for Sanitas Sanitary Shaving Brush & Cup was magnificent advertising art. It showcased the patented Sanitas Barber’s Antiseptic Utensil. Patent #793,961 July 4, 1905. Each sealed shaving cup held a new brush & Williams Shaving Soap, a throw-a-way item that insured each barbershop customer got a clean shave from virgin products! This metal sign is very true to the original image! And a great Tribute to the Art of Shaving.
Each tin sign is designed and made in the United States using 24 gauge American steel and a process known as sublimation, where the image is baked into a powder coating for a durable and long lasting finish. A vintaging process is then performed by hand to give these signs an aged look and feel. Each sign is drilled and riveted for easy hanging. All you need is 2 nails and a hammer!
Based on actual barber shop and shoeshine imagery.
