T TiLantern slides were the Flash signs that everyone saw in the theaters before the movie started & during intermissions. The projectionist would have to hand feed each slide so the audience could ponder the local advertising. These Glass slides were hand painted images and it’s amazing that they survived at all. In about 1915 the Capital Barber Shop had a series of clever colorful slides made & we were lucky to stumble on the group. i Colors on the metal sign are as bright as the original.

Each tin sign is designed and made in the United States using 24 gauge American steel and a process known as sublimation, where the image is baked into a powder coating for a durable and long lasting finish. A vintaging process is then performed by hand to give these signs an aged look and feel. Each sign is drilled and riveted for easy hanging. All you need is 2 nails and a hammer!

Based on actual barber shop and shoeshine imagery.
