Yes, kinda. It solved an embarrassing problem that men suffered…limp, fallen socks, imagine getting your shoes shined & your socks were seen to be fallen below your ankles. OMG call the sock cops! Early cotton, wool & silk socks did not have elastics of today and would quickly fall below the ankles. The Congress Garter solved that by keeping the man’s socks erect & lifted tightly with a double grip. Image is from an original 1920’s garter box. The metal sign gets folks to thinking about a wardrobe change! Each tin sign is designed and made in the United States using 24 gauge American steel and a process known as sublimation, where the image is baked into a powder coating for a durable and long lasting finish. A vintaging process is then performed by hand to give these signs an aged look and feel. Each sign is drilled and riveted for easy hanging. All you need is 2 nails and a hammer!
