Theo A. Kochs Barber’s Supplies 158-170 Wells St, Chicago. 1894 Barber Chair, Kochs Columbia no. 2, Revolving and Reclining, Patented Dec 8, 1891. Made of Oak (antique finish) or Walnut. Price, covered with Mohair Plush, Crimson, Maroon, Green or Old Gold ….$45. Yes, Prices have gone up a little… but these chairs were works of Art. These classic Die Cut metal signs are the closest you can get to the real deal for about what the original chair cost in 1894!
Each tin sign is designed and made in the United States using 24 gauge American steel and a process known as sublimation, where the image is baked into a powder coating for a durable and long lasting finish. A vintaging process is then performed by hand to give these signs an aged look and feel. Each sign is drilled and riveted for easy hanging. All you need is 2 nails and a hammer!
Based on actual barber shop and shoeshine imagery.
