Description: When Greg saw the previews coming out for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in 2016, he went straight to his drawing board. Greg loves Darth Vader, and at one glimpse of the villain on screen, he instantly had an idea for his next black board.
This black board is the first – and possibly the only – black board featuring Darth Vader without any other characters!
Vader, the infamous masked villain stands bodily and powerfully ready for battle. Greg masterfully uses a variety of value and contrast that draws the eye to Vader's helmet weaving its way down to his intricate chest armor and fades out and under his cape . No button, no clothing texture, or shine on his armor is left behind. Greg pays great attention to the subtle details of his costume especially his cape. The bigger the cape the badder the villain. Vader's weighted cape remains dark in rendering to emphasize that it is heavy and it sturdy. It remains a symbol of his power and a message to all that he will smite and overpower all that try to challenge his authority.
