Description: Greg Hildebrandt is constantly coming up with new PINUP/PULP possibilities. This one uses one of the more famous comic book characters- Vampirella. Created by Forrest J Ackerman and comic book artist Trina Robbins in Warren publishing’s black and white horror comics magazine Vampirella #1. Vampirella is from a planet that orbits twin suns that were causing droughts across the planet. During this time a race called the Vampiri were created. They were able to transform themselves into bats at will and they had a thirst for blood.
However, where Vampirella’s story begins is where her planets life seems to be ending. Blood is drying up causing death and chaos among the Vampiri. Soon into their seemingly unavoidable fate, a spaceship from Earth crashes the planet. Vampirella encounters the humans and discovers that they are filled with precious blood. She joins the humans in their voyage back to Earth and continues to defend their planet and saves her own planet from death and destruction. Other tales of Vampirella vary from the tales of Adam and Eve to the adventures of Van Helsing. Vampirella is a dark and adventurous and sexy character who wouldn’t want to draw her?!
Greg took this opportunity to draw Vampirella not once, but TWICE on a black board! Double the Vampiri double the sexy. This will be Greg's second black board of Vampirella. No one could mistake this Vampiri in her signature red costume, her strong and sexy sense of confidence, and long flowing black hair as any other woman BUT Vampirella. Nails red as blood, dying to dig into the hearts of comic and horror fans of all kinds. Greg captures every bit of the character’s history, personality, and life through out a drawing. He does so by playing with the posing of a character and facial expressions. Greg is an expert at drawing out a characters personality through out pieces, whether it be our American Beauties or Marvel super heroes, Greg always gives us a little more as a story teller and painter.
