Description: This piece was done for Holt and Rinehart, that was an American publishing company that specialized in textbooks used for secondary schools. Greg and Tim Hildebrandt painted these pieces in the early 1970’s for readers and textbooks to help teach kids how to read. Most of the illustrations were done to size.
